Heavy object fell on my big toe yesterday! PLEASE HELP?

My oldest brother slammed my pinkie in his truck door in the winter, and under the nail got bruised but the nail never fell off. Just like any bruise you should be able to walk normal in a few days, just like if you stubbed your toe. Ice it, also make sure the area is clean and keep it in a small bandage.
