I'm writing a novel. Do I have to get special permission to use the names of movies, songs, TV shows in it?

What about quoting song lyrics? This is to bring the reader back to the 80's and how my character is very much into music. Or am I supposed to just list the source in the back of the book or bottom of the page in italics...?
